Our committee

The founding members of the committee come primarily from the Channel Islands Information Security Forum, reflecting the origins of the JCSP. From an almost throw-away line by one of the committee members mentioning that he'd really like to help out charities that couldn't necessarily afford cyber security, the idea became reality in just a few weeks. Our current committee are:

Chairman: Dave Cartwright

After many years in mainstream IT and network management, Dave now specialises in the fields of cyber security and data protection: he is presently Chief Information Security Officer and Head of IT Operations & Risk at Santander International. As Chairman of the Move On Youth Project and former President of the Jersey Masonic Charities Association he also has first-hand experience of the challenges facing the not-for-profit sector. Dave is Chairman of the Channel Islands Information Security Forum, and of the Jersey branch of the British Computer Society; he's also a judge of the UK Cloud Awards and co-founder of the Jersey Tech Awards.

Vice Chair: Stephanie Luce

Steph is a non-practising Jersey Advocate and English barrister, specialising in data protection and cyber security. She is the Chair of the Channel Islands Data Protection Forum, sits on the committee of the Channel Islands Information Security Forum, and is an honorary member of the British Computer Society.

Steph is keen to support women wanting to branch into technology and technical roles, and as such is also a member of the Jersey branch of Women In Tech.

Treasurer: Val Cartwright

Val is an accountant by trade, and is a director of employment and employee relations specialist Law At Work, based in Jersey. She works extensively in the charitable sector, most notably as part of the Aspire Charitable Trust, the force behind Beresford Street Kitchen.

Secretary: Arthur Mainja

Arthur is also the Deputy Chairman of the Channel Islands Information Security Forum, and has worked in the cyber security and risk management industries for around 20 years. He is a Senior Manager at KPMG in Jersey.
